This is a comprehensive course to enable you to discover the joys of growing your own healthy fruit, vegetables, herbs and flowers through the seasons. Topics covered will include: garden design, tools, selecting the right varieties (including fruit trees, bushes), propagating (sowing seed, growing transplants, taking cuttings, division etc), pruning, pest and disease control, composting, green manures, rotations, successional planting, companion planting, year round harvesting, seed saving, health benefits, herbal preparations (teas, oils, creams) and some recipes. This course will take place at the tutor?s gardens at Oak Cottage, Ufford Road, Bredfield, Woodbridge IP13 6AR. Lunch is not provided.
