An apprenticeship includes the following:

NVQ Level 2 Hairdressing

Employments Rights and Responsibilities

Functional Skills Level 1 -  English (exempt if you have grade A-E or above GCSE)

Functional Skills Level 1 - Maths (exempt if you have grade A-E or above GCSE)

What modules are covered?

Advise and consult with clients

Shampoo, condition and treat hair and scalp

Change hair colour

Style and finish hair

Set and dress hair

Cut hair using basic techniques

Optional units are:

Fulfill salon reception duties
Plaiting and twisting hair

What qualifications will I get?

City and Gulds NVQ Level 2 in Hairdressing
Employment Rights and Responsibilities

How will I be assessed?

Theory
Continuous Assessment
Practical Observation
Written test

What is the entry process?

College admissions followed by an interview

What are the entry requirements?

Minimum qualifications: Not applicable

Ideally you will have already secured employment within a salon although we may be able to assist with this.

* Apprentices are employees of a company and will receive a wage. Companies employing apprentices under 19yrs do not pay a fee. For apprentices aged 19+ a contribution from the employer is required. Please contact 0300 45 600 46 for more fee information.
