This Apprenticeship will involve all aspects of horticulture. Landscapers undertake similar work to gardeners working mainly in the private sector in areas such as commercial premises or private households. Landscapers plant and manage borders and green spaces, build ponds and water features and undertake hard landscaping work such as driveways.

Course programme

This qualification is delivered through practical and written assignments which are carried out in the classroom and/or in the workplace. You will be required to produce work tasks and build a portfolio of evidence. The course will include the study of Functional Skills at level 1 in Mathematics and English, Employment Rights & Responsibilities and Personal Learning & Thinking Skills. On completion of the Intermediate Apprenticeship, you will have the opportunity to apply to progress to an Advanced Apprenticeship. You will also be required to study a technical qualification.
