Hospitality & Events BTEC Extended Diploma Level 3

You will learn the theory and practical elements behind hospitality & events, and will be involved with the organisation of events within the College Students learn about: event planning; hospitality; customer service; finance and marketing; health & safety; investigating travel and tourism; the UK as a destination; preparing for employment in the travel and tourism industry; long haul travel destinations; sustainable tourism; the business of travel and tourism; work experience in the travel and tourism industry; residential study visit; and functional skills

By a portfolio of assignments, projects and practical observations

Successful completion of this course will open career opportunities in many sectors of hospitality & event management, or allow you to study at a higher level

You should have 5 GCSEs at C (including English and Maths) Entry onto the course is subject to an interview (where you will show a strong demonstration of interest in hospitality & event work)

Trips and visits are an important part of the course and you may be required to pay for these You may also be required to attend events outside of the normal College hours as part of the course
