This MA Human Resource Management equips you to progress your career in learning and development, employee relations or any other HR-related field. You'll gain the knowledge and skills to become adaptable and well-informed in managerial skills. Use academic studies and a range of powerful problem-solving techniques to find effective solutions to real-life HR issues. Learn how to approach business problems strategically and how to adapt to organisational change.
This course is available during the evening (6-9pm) on a full-time or part-time basis, which allows you to fit your studies around your other commitments. We also encourage you to attend events and discuss current HR trends with practitioners, faculty and guest speakers. Regular seminars of the CIPD South East Thames branch are held at the university.

About this course
Our Human Resource Management graduates have gone on to work for corporates, engineering firms, creative organisations and housing associations, as well as charities and public sector organisations including the NHS.
Their roles have included HR Business Partner, HR Administrator, Head of HR, and HR Advisor.
You should have a relevant undergraduate degree at 2.2 or above, or equivalent qualification, from a recognised university or higher education institute. You should also have two years' relevant work experience.

The course helps you to evaluate current research and advanced scholarship in Human Resource Management.
Our Master's is fully accredited by the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), giving you full chartered membership.
Classes are between 6-9pm. You can study part-time (two evenings a week for two years) or full-time (four evenings a week for one year) plus three workshops over the duration of the course.
