IHCD Technician

Course review:

The Edexcel IHCD courses are the ONLY ambulance training courses recognised by NHS Ambulance Trusts and the ONLY courses they put their staff through. You will find other shorter and therefore less expensive driving and clinical courses but beware that they are not recognised by the NHS.There is currently a high demand for IHCD Ambulance Technicians in the private ambulance sector as the Care Quality Commission's regulation of PAS begins. This is clinical training of seven weeks duration and includes theoretical and practical assessments in a classroom setting. Certification is not immediately issued; the trainee must go on to complete and log 750 hours of clinical experience before the award can be made. No specific qualifications are required to attend this course.
This course runs with a minimum of 8 trainees.
