This qualification is a combination course comprised of our Level 2 qualification in Instructing Gym Based Exercise and the Level 3 certificate in Personal Training. Completing these 2 together with qualify you to become a personal trainer without any pre-requisites.
You will be able to offer advice to clients on a 1-1 basis.
This is a challenging course that brings a rewarding career in the Fitness Industry. The course is delivered via blended learning, a combination of class room, practical and distance learning.

What you will learn:

Level 2 Certificate in Fitness Instructing (Gym-Based Exercise)

How to programme safe and effective exercise for a range of clients.
The skills and knowledge required to plan and prepare a gym-based exercise programme with apparently healthy adults – both individuals and groups. This may include young people in the 14-16 age range, provided they are part of a larger adult group.

Level 2 principles of Exercise
Level 3 Certificate in Personal Training, includes:

Level 3 Anatomy and Physiology
Level 3 Applying the Principles of Nutrition to a Physical Activity Programme
Level 3 Programming Personal Training with Clients
Level 3 Delivering Personal Training Sessions

This course is intended for anyone with a keen interest in health and fitness who would like to pursue a career in the industry.

There are no pre-requisites for this course.

At the end of this course you will achieve:

YMCA Awards Level 3 Certificate in Personal Training
CPD Points and Certificates
20 Reps points

You have to attend 10 training days in total which are split over 5 weekends.
