Day One: Health and Safety at Work etc Act 1974; Writing a Safety Policy; The Company�s Safety Policy.; Essentials of Health and Safety Management; Introduction to Health and Safety Regulations; Management of Health and Safety at Work Regs1999; Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regs 1998; The Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regs 1992; COSHH Regulations 1999; Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences (RIDDOR); Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regs 1998
Day Two: Manual Handling Regulations 1992; Working At Heights Regulations 2005; Introduction to the regulation requirements to allow managers/supervisors to recognise good and bad lifting practices; Workplace Transport; Storage Systems/Cold Stores; Electrical Safety; Fire Safety; First Aid; Accidents Investigation/Reporting.
Day Three: Principles of Risk Assessment; Identifying hazards, assessing and controlling risks ;What is meant by the statement �assessment has to be suitable and sufficient�; Practical Risk Assessment; Carry out practical risk assessment in various departments, discuss the results and actions required to meet with the above statement.; Health and Safety Targets; Monitoring.
