Course Outline:-

• Promote Understanding of Psychiatric conditions particularly in learning disabilities
• Knowledge of the types of conditions that may be present
• Knowledge of how to identify where problems are present
• Knowledge of the different types of Psychiatric conditions
• Knowledge of support strategies

Course Aims:-

• To develop Knowledge of presentation of different conditions
• To identify various types of Psychiatric conditions that may be present
• To explore the Treatment and Intervention strategies that may be available
• To be able to recognise possible signs and symptoms
• To be able to provide the support strategies required

Learning Outcomes:-

• Gain a working knowledge of types of Psychiatric conditions
• Gain Knowledge of the symptoms displayed
• Gain an Understanding of to support different presentations
• Understand the rationale of using Treatment and Intervention strategies
• Be able to provide support for the different conditions

Upon successful completion of this course, the candidate will be certificated by: JRCS Training. This course will also give the delegate evidence towards Common Induction Standards, NVQ Units: HSC 21, 22, 23, HSC 31, 32, 33, and preparation for further study.
