Course Outline:-
- Promote Understanding of Psychiatric conditions particularly in learning disabilities
- Knowledge of the types of conditions that may be present
- Knowledge of how to identify where problems are present
- Knowledge of the different types of Psychiatric conditions
- Knowledge of support strategies
Course Aims:-
- To develop Knowledge of presentation of different conditions
- To identify various types of Psychiatric conditions that may be present
- To explore the Treatment and Intervention strategies that may be available
- To be able to recognise possible signs and symptoms
- To be able to provide the support strategies required
Learning Outcomes:-
- Gain a working knowledge of types of Psychiatric conditions
- Gain Knowledge of the symptoms displayed
- Gain an Understanding of to support different presentations
- Understand the rationale of using Treatment and Intervention strategies
- Be able to provide support for the different conditions
Upon successful completion of this course, the candidate will be certificated by: JRCS Training. This course will also give the delegate evidence towards Common Induction Standards, NVQ Units: HSC 21, 22, 23, HSC 31, 32, 33, and preparation for further study.
