Required Reading You will need a copy of ‘How to Teach English’, 2nd edition with DVD (2007 or later) by Jeremy Harmer to complete the tasks. The best place to buy it is from Amazon. This book is also required for the 4-week Trinity CertTESOL course and is very useful for new teachers.

Course Overview

Section A: Raise your language awareness and brush up your grammar

Section B: How to teach English and plan a lesson

In this section you will:

In this section you will:

familiarise yourself with the phonemic chart and phonemic scriptlearn how to read and write phonemic scriptlearn how to use the chart for teaching pronunciation

Section D: How to become an effective teacher

Assessment and evaluation
