Course Overview This course follows the Institute of Credit Management syllabus and forms part of the Certificate in Credit Management qualification course. The College offers the opportunity for students to begin a module in September or January.

Qualification gained: Progress towards completion of the ICM Certificate.

Course Content: Accounting from a credit worthiness aspect and the various types and sources of finance are considered for appropriateness. Performance assessment using financial ratios finishes the course.

Work Experience: Students should work in a credit management environment or aspire to do so to succeed on this course.

Course Assessment: Examinations are set by the Institute of Credit Management in January and June each year for each subject. Each examination is a three hour written examination paper.

Progression: Students may progress to other modules required for completion of the Certificate or on to the Diploma in Credit Management.

Homework: Students will be expected to attempt previous examination questions for homework.

Additional Costs: Books can be borrowed from the library or bought if desired.
