Course Description: This course is designed for qualified, practicing Electricians working in the Electrical Installation Industry and involved with the Inspection and Testing of Installations. It forms an essential part of the qualification required to work as an Approved Electrician in this industry. Training will be provided to give these Craftspeople a working knowledge of the correct methods of Inspection, Testing and Certification.

Subjects studied include:

• 
  Preparation of Inspection and Testing,
  
• 
  Continuity of Protective Conductors,
  
• 
  Earth Electrodes and Residual Current Devices,
  
• 
  Special Installations and Locations
  
• 
  Completion of the 'Electrical Installations Certificates' and 'Periodic Inspection and Test Reports'.
  

NOTE: Each candidate will require a current copy of the 17th Edition BS7671 and 'Guidance Note 3'.

Entry Requirements: Usually a Level 3 Electrical Installation qualification or equivalent and 17th Edition Wiring Regulations.
