What will I learn?
We will be looking at the fundamentals of story writing; developing ideas and themes in class to build story lines on; looking at and reading examples of short fiction in different genres; writing stories at home to bring along for group discussion; researching outlets for short fiction; putting together a short collection so that you can see yourself in print.
How will I be assessed?
There is no formal assessment but you will get positive and supportive feedback on your work.
What can I do after the course?
It depends on your ambitions. You could do further short courses, join a writing group, progress to a qualification course such as GCSE English, or use your work as part of a portfolio to join an Access course or even a Creative Writing degree course.
