Introduction
This course is for people whose first language is not English and who have achieved an upper-intermediate level of English and typically wish to enter university or the medical profession in the UK.

Description
The course is designed to develop all four skills (reading, writing, listening and speaking) and will lead to an appropriate qualification awarded by an external body. This will be the IELTS exam, administered by Cambridge, for which students may enter at any time. As the college is not an exam centre, students will need to make arrangements to sit the tests either in Oxford or London.

Duration
Classes are 2.5 hours per week. The course is currently only offered at Maidenhead

Method of Study
All students will need to buy course books which will provide much of the material for lessons and for homework. Students will be given lots of practice on exam technique and will be taught in a relaxed and friendly environment.

Progression
Students may progress to a Higher Education establishment or use the IELTS qualifications for recognition in the medical profession.
