Is it right for me?
A follow on course from Unit 31 (fell small trees) for arboriculturalists or foresters who fell trees with a diameter between 15" ' 30".

What qualifications will I need?
Unit 30 ' Chainsaw maintenance.
Unit 31 ' Fell small trees.
Students must be aged 16 or over on 1st September of the year in which the course starts. Tetanus protection is recommended.

What will I be learning about?

• Tree felling 15" ' 30" diameter
• Dealing with hung up trees
• Chainsaw snedding
• Cross'cut timber
• Winch operation

What materials are required?
Writing materials. Personal protective clothing and equipment provided.
PLEASE NOTE: All students must bring a passport size photograph and national insurance number on the first day of their course.

How will I be assessed?
By an external assessor on the final day of the course.
