Course Description
The aim of the course is:
* To develop design work
* To develop practical skills and knowledge to produce six pattern blocks and three patterns based on them.

The course includes:
* Design for craft - exploration of colour, line and mark making, and creating surface textures.
* Create shirt, bodice, skirt, trouser, one and two-piece dress blocks.
* Create garment design and patterns (3) based on blocks.
* Produce a folder of work.

The course also features visits to museums/exhibitions as appropriate.


How is the Qualification Achieved ?
Continuous assessment.

On Successful Completion of this Course
Progress to City & Guilds Level 3.
