Course programme

Level 1 - Plastering

Candidates will learn about all aspects of the plastering trade, including cutting and fixing plaster boards, mixing plaster correctly, and skimming walls and ceilings.

Modes of attendance:

Course duration: 5 days Mon to Fri - 9.00am - 4.00pm or Course duration: 4 days Sat & Sun - 8.30am - 5.00pm (2 weekends)

Training method:

This course is delivered using both practical and theory based training, with all course notes and materials provided.

Course modules:

Candidates will be trained and assessed in numerous subject areas, including:-

* Cutting and fixing plaster boards to walls and ceilings.

* Tape standard and internal joints.

* Cut and fix angle beads around window frames and reveals.

* Surface preparation before plastering.

* How to mix plaster correctly.

* Skim walls and ceilings.

* Relevant Health & Safety.

Assessment method:

Candidates will be assessed on both their practical, and theory-based sessions of this training course.

Outcome/qualification:

Candidates will receive all the knowledge and skills they require to seek and gain employment within the plastering trade.
