About the course This course aims to develop your theoretical knowledge of the science of human movement (physiology, psychology, anatomy and biomechanics) and enable you to apply this knowledge about how the body works at rest and during exercise to the teaching of physical activity. It is also designed to provide you with the study skills for academic success as you apply your learning to your work or placement, including a substantial work-based project. To be eligible for this course you must be currently working (either paid or voluntary) in an appropriate role. The course is regularly reviewed by a committee of employers and placement providers to ensure the course content keeps pace with developments in industry.

About this course

A foundation degree will be of particular interest if you have completed a Modern Apprenticeship, vocational A levels, BTEC National or equivalent. Foundation degrees are also particularly suitable if you want to qualify while working. / entry As a guideline, a typical offer would require you to obtain a UCAS tariff score of between points, based on your level 3 studies. Many students studying for foundation degrees come to us through work-based routes so you can apply for a foundation degree even if you don't have traditional academic qualifications. .
