Course programme

The course will be a practical and theoretical based course designed to develop basic skills and subject knowledge. To achieve the qualification you will study a selection of BTEC units which include Sports, Public Services and Outdoor Education. The units of study may include: Introduction to Expedition Skills Practical Teamwork for the Public Services Forensic Detection Public Service Incidents Introduction to Map work and Navigation Working as a volunteer Planning own fitness programme Improving own fitness Taking part in sport You will be given the opportunity to achieve additional qualifications alongside your main course. These will include qualifications and specialist awards that are relevant to the subject you are studying which could include: BCU Paddle Star 1 or 2 Sports Leaders Level 1 First Aid
