Drilling personnel wishing to undertake a detailed study before they enrol a refresher course with IWCF- test included. The course is also recommended for technical personnel in shore based organisations giving operational support to various well operations.

About this course
After completing the course the student should be able to explain the use of instruments and pressure control equipment used in traditional as well as special drilling and well operations. At an early stage the student shall be able to detect abnormal conditions in the well and undertake the necessary calculations of pressure conditions to determine the stresses on equipment used during various kinds of operations. Students will also be able to explain pressure control problems associated with well work over and drilling of HP/HT wells or deep water wells.
Completion of common course subjects – Level 1 – or equivalent qualifications are recommended.
This web based course is in accordance with the guidelines from The Norwegian Oil Industry Association and covers the official Norwegian syllabus for Technical College, Petroleum Technology Faculty.The course is equivalent to 74 hours normal tuition in this subject.
