Weekly printmaking course Etching, Screenprinting, Relief printing, Photo-etching and Lithography. The aim is to give newcomers a basic competency in printmaking, and assist those with some experience to develop and extend their range. The work is based around individual projects and will to a large extent be guided by what you want to achieve and the nature of your own project.

About this course
To learn a printmaking process and be confident to progress your skills and ideas as an able printmaker.
Beginners and those with some knowledge or just to refresh in a certain printmaking process.
No requirements, except enthusiasm.
With printmaking although some drawing skills will help, it is not always necessary as tracing and scanning can be used just as skilfully.

James is a master printmaker who has been painting for 30 years.
Course programme
Course review:
Foundation in all areas of printmaking including: etching, lithography, screenprinting, woodblock, collagraph, and photo-printmaking.
The classes take place in St Barnabas Press, which supports etching, lithography, screenprint and relief printing processes and is developing expertise in mutlimedia and new printmaking technologies. The Press offers artists' proofing and professional editioning services, studio space for rental by artists working on individual projects in printmaking or related disciplines and media, and open-access printmaking courses for artists. There are flexible membership and access schemes to allow those with some printmaking skill to use the facilities of the Press with support from skilled print technicians.
