1 Week Victorian Floor Tiling Course

We have now teamed up with Original Style, one of Britain’s largest manufacturers of Victorian floor tiles to bring you this specialist floor tiling course.

Geometric floor tiles are part of Britain’s heritage and were used originally to ornament medieval churches and monasteries and the homes of aristocracy. Their popularity was enhanced in the 1830s with the accession to the throne of the young Queen Victoria and they soon became the hallmarks of the new romantic movement.

At home, both plain and decorated tiles started to be used in every type of property and situation from porches in terraced houses to bathrooms in stately mansions. Today’s nostalgia for Victorian elegance has led to Original Style recreating these classic floor tiles.

We are holding these courses twice a month at our training facilities based in Arundel, West Sussex. The course is made up of 1 day theory and 4 days practical hands on, installing real Victorian floor tiles in various different room layouts.

3. Planning and setting out for patterns and borders
4. Installation
5. Cleaning & sealing
6. CAD design
7. Victorian tile restoration
