4 Day Fast Track Tiling Course

Course Content

Each Student will have their own individual work station, and will always have someone right there to assist them. We will simulate a real life tiling situation in our workshop which will give you the confidence to go forward to take on your first project.

We know your time is valuable, therefore we don't waste it. You will be straight into practical work from day one of the course. By the end of the first day you will have tiled a full wall with a border running through the middle and will already have a good understanding of tiling.

You will have knowledge of all the tools we use on the job including the use of laser levels, manual and electrical cutters and how we use them to shape tiles perfectly around obstacles such as toilets, sinks, baths, showers, boxing in, windows, electrical sockets, light sockets and extractor fans. You will know how to cut into ceilings, walls and corners, drilling perfect holes in tiles, tiling around a window and a reveal, internal and external. You will also know how to cut and mitre trim. Most situations you encounter will have pipes or taps to cut around, no problem we will show you how to get around these. From the importance of setting out and the quality of your grouting everything you need to know is here in one place to ensure you leave your work with that professional finish.

Unlike other courses we don't keep using the same tiles over and over so we are forever cleaning and scraping adhesive from the backs. The work you do stays on the walls and floor for the duration of the course, its your project to stand back and admire at the end. You wont be using any second hand gear, all the tiles you will be using are brand new and fresh out the box.

Stu is the owner of The Tiling Academy and is also the instructor of the tiling course. Stu is a Tiler by trade and he has successfully ran his own tiling business for the last ten years. He is here to pass this information onto you so you can achieve the same. He will show you how its done. He will show you how you can do it quicker than he did, leaning from his own mistakes, he can tell you how to avoid them in the first place. Get to where you need to be sooner rather than later.

No prior knowledge or experience of tiling is required by our students. We will teach you it all from scratch, quickly, effectively and to the point. Our course delivery is very clear and easy to follow and is designed to flow for students at all levels. We are here to help you succeed. Stu and his team are very approachable, friendly, easy going, and readily available for questions throughout the course. We do like to have a bit of a laugh once everyone gets to know each other but ultimately, we will get the job done. Everyone in the room is there for the same reason, we all have the hunger and desire to tile and share the same interest and goals. Before you know it you will feel like you have known your fellow colleges for a lifetime.

We have made our 4 day intensive fast track tiling course very straight forward and easy to follow, so there is no need to worry about anything. All the demonstrations are fully explained and broken down to give all the students a good understanding regardless of their level. This means it is easy for you to take in what is required to progress on the course. All the necessary equipment is provided for you to complete all of our tiling courses.
