9 Day Professional Tiling Course

We know your time is valuable, therefore we don't waste it. You will be straight into practical work from day one of the course. By the end of the first day you will already have a very good understanding on how to handle tiles and various ways to cut them.
You will be shown and will be making full use of all the tools we use on the job from the very start making full use of lasers levels and angle grinders, Rubi and Sigma cut machines and how we use them to shape tiles perfectly around obstacles such as toilets, sinks, baths, showers, windows, niches, electrical sockets, light sockets and extractor fans. You will know how to cut into ceilings, walls and corners, tiling around a window and a reveal, internal and external. You will also know how to cut and mitre trim. Most situations you encounter will have pipes or taps to cut around and we will show you how to get around these. You will know how to drill holes perfectly in tiles to accommodate pipes or wires etc to give you that professional finish.
on the 9 day course we cover areas of tiling work you are more likely to encounter if you were to take this up as a career. We will demonstrate and cover bathroom installations, waterproof and tanking systems, wet rooms and how to envelope your tiles into a wet room tray. We demonstrate how to install underfloor heating systems and show different anti fracture matting systems and when to use them. You will be installing hardibacker boards to make installations flawless and also make your life much easier as a tiler. Learn how to deal with uneven walls and floors that arent level. The use of different substrates, SBR and primers and how we approach different tiling situations to ensure our tiling project is a success.
You will understand how to work with and cut different formats such as Porcelain, Slate, travertine, and mosaics,You will be given a full understanding of setting your jobs out from the very first tile, measuring up to ensure you have the correct amount of tiles and materials for any project you may undertake.
We will cover all the different adhesives in a clear manner easy for you to understand the properties each one has and how and why we can use these to our advantage. You will be using an angle grinder and I will show you how this tool will become your best. With this as well and the Washboy system you can knock off hours, even days from your tiling installation.
