A2 Level in Art and Design (Graphics)
Course content:
A year comprising of three units one of which is a written unit for the full Advanced level qualification. On the A level course with an endorsement in Graphics, students will develop their visual language and communication skills within a range of media including work on computers.
Exploration and analysis of issues are encouraged and sketchbook work emphasised. Students will discuss and assess contemporary and historical examples of graphics to aid their awareness of the subject.
Students' work should include one or more area(s) of Graphic Design, such as those listed below:
- Communication and/or computer graphics.
- Illustration
- Advertising and packaging
- Film, television, animation and/or video
Entry requirements:
Students should have successfully achieved the AS Level qualification in Graphics.

GCE A2 Level Art and Design awarded by AQA
Progression opportunities:
The A level in Graphics will support other A level subjects as an entry qualification into many H.E. courses.
Those students specifically interested in Graphics can continue their development through a Foundation programme leading to degree course of study or a Foundation Degree course in Media Design (Publishing ).
