Whether you are working in accounting and want to advance your skills or simply want to build on knowledge learned at AAT Level 2, the AAT Level 3 Diploma in Accounting (Home Learning) will form the next step in your studies. As the penultimate level of the AAT qualification pathway, the course will help you progress on your way to becoming a fully qualified Accounting Technician.
You will learn the complex accounting processes used in business management; such as final accounts preparation, company forecasting and budgeting, preparing you for more defined roles in the finance industry.
Entry requirementsTo enrol on the Level 3 course, you must either hold the AAT Level 2 Certificate in
Accounting, or equivalent qualification, or have considerable existing experience working in
accounting. You will need regular access to the Internet and you must be resident in the UK,
Channel Islands or Isle of Man. If English is not your first language an IELTS 5.5 or equivalent
is required.

How long is the course?305 guided learning hours (GLH) – 12 months typical completion time.
What does the course lead to?The AAT Level 3 Diploma in Accounting forms the second and penultimate level of the full
AAT Qualification (AQ2013) pathway. The pathway consists of three levels and is a fully
recognised route to employment in a UK accounting role; the further you progress, the better
the employment opportunities.
