Duration :1 Year (Part Time)
Who the Course is For:
Those wishing to train to a standard of practical proficiency in welding. The course is suitable for a wide range of candidates, for example the self-employed, adults wishing to pursue specific units and young people who are new to the industry.
Assessment:
The scheme is modular, each unit standing alone emphasising practical skills with the complementary written paper testing relevant knowledge. A full certificate is awarded to candidates who successfully complete all four units. Certificates are countersigned by the Welding Institute, being a partner in the scheme.
Course Leads To:
Progression onto the ABC 165 Welding and Fabrication Level 2.
Entry Requirements:
There are no formal entry requirements, but prospective students must have a commitment to this area of work and the potential to satisfactorily complete the course requirements.
