Duration :1 Year (Part Time)
Who the Course is For:
Those aiming to develop an understanding of advanced welding techniques, taught through a series of practical tasks, to a standard of proficiency.
Assessment:
The scheme is modular, each unit standing alone emphasising practical skills with the complementary written paper testing relevant knowledge. A full certificate is awarded to candidates who successfully complete all four units. Certificates are countersigned by the Welding Institute, being a partner in the scheme.
Course Leads To:
Progression onto the ABC 165 Welding and Fabrication Level 4 or a bridging course to Further Education.
Entry Requirements:
Students must hold an ABC Welding and Fabrication Level 1 and Level 2 Certificates or similar qualification with the commitment to this area of work and the potential to satisfactorily complete the course and its requirements.
