3. Entry requirements Applicants are required to have C or above in both Maths English/English Language and Science. Selection is on the basis of an interview and completing an initial assessment. Candidates are expected to be highly motivated and committed to further study. However universities now expect candidates for primary school initial teacher training to have at least a few weeks experience in a primary school before they begin the Access course. They are also expected to have a higher GCSE standard of numeracy and literacy. Individuals with both prior experience and a higher standard of literacy and numeracy will inevitably be stronger candidates than those without these requirements in an increasingly competitive market. If you would like help with your numeracy and language skills before starting the Access course please enquire about our Pre-Access courses which are designed to prepare people for level 3 study. 4. Equipment required No equipment required 5. Assessment method Not available
