The Programme
The aim of this course is to open doors to study for applicants who do not have the specific A-level qualification pre-requisites that they normally need to enter a degree programme. There are many reasons why this course may suit you; you may be a student who has completed some qualifications and can show the right level of skill and maturity for this programme, you may be a mature applicant and have not studied A-levels but possess a wealth of work and experience in the music field
The Programme Content
This Access to Higher Education Diploma course can be studied as a Level 3 programme or as the first step towards a Foundation Degree at North Devon College awarded by the University of Plymouth. The Diploma is integrated to progression onto your degree, so you could be a student working towards a Foundation Degree from day one. All you have to do is to complete the programme successfully and you will progress towards the Foundation Degree in Music Technology. The course provides a broad programme of study that includes core modules and more specialist modules that will enable you to progress and it will also include Study Skills modules related to music that will help you back into academic learning.
Progression / Careers
Students will normally progress onto our own Foundation degrees in Music Technology upon successful completion of the Access programme. Some students may wish to seek employment within the music industry or establish themselves as self employed musicians/ technicians
