This CYQ (Central YMCA Qualifications) course is nationally recognised and is aimed at giving you the skills and knowlesge to become and Excercise to Music Instructor. It invludes both theory and practical assessment.

What will I be learning?

Students will undertake both practical and formal lessons.

How will I learn?

By studying a mixture of both practical and formal lessons.

What else might I want to know?

You will need to have a good practical background in exercise to music. You will need to attend an interview. Since exploding onto the scene in the early 1980s, exercise to music (aerobics) classes are established at the heart of the fitness industry. A glance at any studio timetable shows that classes continue to grow in popularity and diversity. Becoming an exercise to music instructor is an opportunity to work in an environment where the people you meet and work with you are as passionate about fitness as you are.

What can I do afterwards?

You will be a qualified aerobics instructor and can work in gyms, leisure centres and health and fitness clubs or an independent freelance fitness instructor.
