About this course

It will be assumed that participants will have achieved NVQ 2 to enter at Intermediate Level.
All applicants will have an informal interview with a member of the course team during which they will be asked to talk about their experience and current circumstances. A decision about individuals' suitability for the course will be based on this interview.

Summary
This course is appropriate for those who plan a career in accounting and require professional recognition, and those who wish to gain a good understanding of accounting procedures in order to compliment their own specialism. This might include managers, supervisors, owner managers, administrative staff and others with responsibility for budgets and financial control.
About the Course
The course will run on a Tuesday and Thursday evening for 32 weeks.
The course will cover the following units:
* Maintaining Financial Records and Preparing Accounts
* Recording and Evaluating Costs and Revenues
* Preparing Reports and Returns
* Working with Computers (if not previously completed)
* Contribute to the Maintenance of a Healthy Safe and Productive Working Environment (if not previously completed)

How is the course assessed?
Assessment of each Unit of the course is based on a skills test examination and portfolio of evidence you compile which is assessed by the college (verified by the AAT). Some units are also assessed by an exam marked by the AAT.

You will be advised which books to purchase at the first meeting.

A Fee: £650.00, B Fee: £ 650.00, C Fee: £10.00
Are there any other costs?
The course fees are £650 (approximate) which include assessment. Other costs however, are textbooks £60, Membership fee £105 and Examination fee £88 - these figures are approximate.
