What are the main features of this course?
The AS level course lasts for one year and covers accounting principles, financial accounting and final accounts.
Students who want to achieve the A level take a second year, which looks at management accounting.

Hours of Lessons per Week : 4.7 Indicative Group Size : 22

How is the course assessed?
The course is modular with two modules examined in each year. During lessons students will be given considerable opportunity to practise the skills needed.

Who should study this course?
Entry to the course will depend upon fulfilling the colleges usual A-level requirements. In addition you must have a grade C in GCSE Maths. Students who have a logical approach to their work and who enjoy analysing information would benefit from studying Accounting.
The course is of value to those students who are thinking of following a career in Accounting as well as for higher education courses.
