Course Description
This level will develop your skills in double entry book keeping and give you an understanding of management and administrative processes.You will learn how to use manual and computerised accounting systems, and to work with the purchase ledger, sales ledger and general ledger.

Entry Requirements
4 GCSEs Grade D, incl. English. (Maths D for some courses). Or Pass in Level 1 Vocational Qual., Merit for BTECs, plus Key Skills Level 1 Comm. (App. of Number for some courses) or equivalent. Diplomas require Functional Skills in ICT, Maths and English.

• Making and Recording Payments
• Preparing Ledger Balances and an Initial Trial Balance
• Supplying Information for Management Control
• Working with Computers

Attendance Modes: Day/Eve

Assessment: Units are assessed using either AAT or College-devised material,s or by the use of work-based evidence. One formal examination.

Progression Routes: AAT Levels 3 and 4. Foundation Degree in Accounting, Chartered Institute of Management Accounting, Chartered Institute of Certified Accountants, Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy, Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales.
