Course programme
Accounting technicians assist accountants by collecting, checking and analysing financial information on their behalf. They usually work in a support role within a firm of accountants, or in the accounts or finance departments of various organisations in industry. Those with more experience can become self-employed, providing a variety of accountancy and taxation services to a range of small to medium size businesses.
In many larger organisations, accounting technicians work alongside members of the chartered accountancy bodies. In smaller organisations, they may be the only trained financial member of staff employed.
The Pitman Training Advanced Accounts Diploma will give you the skills you need to become an experienced finance professional. On one side it covers the primary book-keeping disciplines, including computerised accounting; on the other side it features payroll systems. All these skills are as necessary for small companies as large; are transferable from one employer to another; and can be the starting point for a rewarding career in financial accounting.
Learning these financial and business skills is easy with Pitman Training. Our tried and trusted methods are the best available. You will work at your own pace in our comfortable premises, helped by experienced tutors as required. You choose your own hours and keep the reference materials when the course is over. On completion, you will receive a Pitman Training Diploma that is recognised nationally and internationally by employers.
