INTRODUCTION
This diploma is designed to explore Emotional Freedom Techniques. During this course you will review emotional and psychological acupressure. You will study client statements and explore fields of counselling, psychotherapy and hypnotherapy.

This course consists of Ten Units and is a qualification awarded by Oxford Learning College, in its own right; with the quality assurance of a leading awarding body (CIE/ABC) that hallmarks this professional qualification.
Assessment Objectives (AO)AO: 1
Students must select and demonstrate clearly relevant knowledge and understanding through the use of evidence, examples and correct language and terminology appropriate to the course of study. This assessment, involves two written assignments: one halfway through the course and following the final unit. Both are assessed and graded by the assigned tutor, according to college procedures.
AO: 2
Students must critically evaluate and justify a point of view through the use of evidence and reasoned argument. Students can include evidence in different formats to support their written work such as documentation or images to support their course.
Quality of Written Communication (QWC)In addition, OLC require students’ to produce written material in English, candidates must: ensure that text is legible and that spelling, punctuation and grammar (SPG) are accurate so that meaning is clear; select and use a form and style of writing appropriate to studying a complex subject matter; organise information clearly and coherently, using specialist vocabulary when appropriate and Harvard referencing of citation and sources. In this Specification, SPG will be assessed in all tutor marked assignments (TMAs)

COURSE CONTENT
The whole level three diploma has TEN (10) specific units of study, which are sub-divided into topic areas these are:
Unit 1: The Origins of Meridian Therapies and EFT
In this unit you will review theorists work on Meridian, Though field therapy and history of EFT. You will discover beliefs and disruptions caused and negative emotions on the body's energy system as well as mental health.
Unit 2: The Meridian System in Focus
Within this nit you will review the human energy system and looking at the main Meridians of the body such as Lung, Large intestines, Stomach, Spleen, Heart, Small intestines, Bladder, Kidney to name a few.
Unit 3: The Full EFT procedure
This unit will be reviewing the EFT procedures in relation to consultation and how these are addressed. You will discover scale of subjective units of distress and disturbance between 1-10. You will gain great knowledge of the various issues and how these are addressed on a one to one basis.
Unit 4: Understanding the Approaches and Aspects
Within this unit you will explore the basis of EFT and set up your own statement focusing on an issue or event. From this you can oversee if this is deep or traumatic. Linking with this you will review the road to recovery via the clients trauma. You will gain great knowledge of EFT recovery process and procedures.
Unit 5: The Psychological Reversal, PR
In this unit you will gain knowledge and understanding of how people can use inner strength to change life events such as why some for example can stick to diets and others cant and how this links with psychological reversal. You will gain a great understanding of energy flow within the human body.
Unit 6: Miscellaneous Features of EFT
You will discover the way your body moves and shudders are psychologically connected. Such as posture, movement, negative emotions, clenching, folding arms and eye contact. You will use your knowledge here to review how a person feels relaxed by using noises and going into a trans like dream phase.
Unit 7: Using EFT to deal with Specific Problems (Part 1)
How you look at this unit will be reviewing how EFT helps with phobias, addictions, emotional and psychological and physical issues. You will discover how EFT helps with headaches, digestion and insomnia and skin problems.
Unit 8: Using EFT to deal with Specific Problems (Part 2)
As you work through this unit you will explore how EFT helps with anxiety and emotional issues. You will gain an understanding of the range of various issues such as anxiety, panic, negative feelings to name a few.
Unit 9: Dealing with Clients: Setting up E.F.T Practice
This unit is looking at statement from clients. You will review and adapt step by step process and method of when the client enters and when they leave the session and how to record information and what to record and for what purpose. At the end of this unit you will be confident to lead a client session.
Unit 10: Promoting your Business: Setting up E.F.T Practice
In this final unit you will review how to become a practitioner and how this fits into counselling and EFT. You will gain knowledge in where to base your your business and informing others of the services that your provide. At the end of this unit you will have the confidence and sufficient evidence to build your own business as an EFT practitioner to make a thriving business.
ASSESSMENT
The coursework is assessed through continuous assessment with no formal exit examinations. Through assessment you will cover certain criteria such as:
- Theoretical Knowledge/ Understanding
- Practical Implications
- Integration of Theory and Practice.
The course has TWO Tutor Marked Assignment (TMA); which are graded: Pass or Fail. The grading procedure if Pass or Fail. Your grade will depend upon if the criteria set ha been met and the decision of your tutor. If you Fail an assessment you have the opportunity to amend where your tutor has highlighted and resubmit.

Approximately: 20 hours personal study time per unit, which is supported by the ODL
