Further improving the quality of your voice and speech.
Exercises for the whole class, some pair and small group work. Individual presentations of text, applying the vocal techniques learnt. Some homework is required in the preparation of text pieces.

As part of the course content, your tutor may record your image for initial and ongoing assessment purposes. You are entitled to decline to participate in the recording of your image.

Identify your own vocal weaknesses and develop ways to address them.
Display improvements in breath capacity and support using more advanced breathing exercises.
Apply articulation pitch and variety to a whole range of texts and material.
Further develop the resonance of your voice by examining secondary and tertiary areas of resonance.

Course programme
Relaxation, alignment and posture, breath support, control and pressure, resonance, pitch awareness, articulation and techniques of communication.
You will need a notebook and pen and a small hand mirror. You will need to purchase or borrow from the library relevant reading material around the subject. Many voice and associated subject classes offered by the Drama department, in particular Voice Technique: Improvers.
