What's the course about?

This course will progress your skills further in vector based drawing using Adobe Illustrator and enable you to build up complex images and experiment with confidence in the application further.

Core skills taught include:-

• Bitmap tracing
• 3D shapes and mapping
• Pattern making
• Brush making
• Symbol sprayer
• Advanced use of gradient mesh
• Advanced use of blend tools
• Building up complex images
• Outputting for different mediums

The course will be taught by lectures demonstrations and mini class assignments.

How long is the course and when will it be taught?

This course can be studied for three hours per week over 10 weeks, usually in the evening, but daytime classes will also be considered.

What will I be able to do after I've completed this course?

On successful completion of this course you will have the opportunity to progress on further skills-based courses in Illustrator, or any other application of your choosing. There will also be the opportunity of progressing onto full-time courses within the media department.
