Direct entrants will be given a short test to determine their suitability for the programme.
Information about the courseThis is the second level of a part-time programme. The main purpose of the course is to lay the essential underpinning knowledge required for a career in book keeping and accounting. The programme gives support to career progression, career change, return to work, self-employment and or to help with one's own business. The level 3 will be equivalent to Accounting at A Level.
The course is offered part-time day - Tuesday 9.00am - 5.00pm
OR 2 evenings a week - Tuesday and Wednesday 6.00 - 9.30pm.

Please note - if you have not completed the Certificate level you will be required to complete the three assessments for Accounting Work Skills which will involve extra tuition and may involve extra cost.
Registration with AAT. The AAT is a recognised professional body for Accounting Technicians. Accounting Technicians are skilled support staff who work throughout industry commerce and the public sector.
In addition to attending lessons you are expected to work at home on average 3-4 hours every week. Your progress is totally dependant on your weekly homework practice.
When will I receive my results?
Results will be forwarded on as soon as they are received at the college. Please note that certificates, where awarded, can take up to 4 months to be received at the college before forwarding on to learners.
ProgressionYou can move on to higher qualifications for example AAT Diploma (Level 4) or Administration/Business qualifications.
Employment in Accounts and Administration Departments, Office Junior, Junior Accounts Clerk.
Additional fee informationMembership Registration with AAT to be paid by the student before end of first term.
