The Diploma in Logistics & Supply Chain Management aims to provide students with an understanding of the core concepts, theories and techniques in the Logistics & Supply Chain Management field. Graduates of the course will be able to demonstrate competence and high degree of effectiveness within the industry by providing a wide range of relevant knowledge and skills to complement their experience in their scope of work through a 6 months industrial attachment programme.

Local and International students shall possess one of the following:
LSBF Diploma in Logistics and Supply Chain Management
Equivalent Local Polytechnic Diploma.
Both local and international students MUST fulfil the minimum English language entry requirement.
Students with non-standard entry requirements will be assessed on a case by case basis subject to approval of the Academic Board."

"Human Resource Management
This module introduces relevant concepts and theories in the field of Human Resource Management and provides students with the knowledge, understanding and key skills in relation to HRM. It provides an insight into international diversity in HRM, allowing them to compare the role, activities, and institutional frameworks of human resource management in different national contexts.
Operations Management
This module will provide students with a thorough background in the areas of management information systems (MIS) and operations management (OM). The main topics of discussion include the decision processes, information and decision technologies, information strategy, operations management and operations research. The module maintains a good balance between theoretical and practical aspects and encourages students to achieve expertise in both parts.
International Shipping Management
This module introduces students to the process and procedures of transporting freight by sea and air. The coverage also provides students with the necessary knowledge and insights into shipping terms and import export documentation with a focus on international and local contents.
Warehouse Management
This module introduces students to the functions and activities in the warehouse covering receipt, storage and movement of raw materials or finished goods to intermediate storage locations or to final customer in a multi-echelon model of distribution. The objective of warehousing management is to help in optimal cost of timely order fulfilment by managing the resources and inventory economically.
Business Logistics Strategy
This module focuses on identifying the organisation’s strength, industry position and understanding the externals factors that may influence that position. It concerns strategic decisions about choice of products and technologies to meet the needs of customers, establish competitive advantage and create new opportunities for the business.
International Purchasing Management
This module focuses on the roles of purchasing and materials management or supply management in the realm of logistics and supply chain management. Students will have the knowledge and understanding of the acquisition, evaluation and selection of supplier processes and learn how to control quality and implement strategic cost management.
Global Distribution Management
This module introduces the different modes of transportation and the different strategies shippers adopt in global transportation. Transport logistics is one of the most critical aspects of business logistics to satisfy customer demands.
Business Law; OR
This module will provide students with the general knowledge and understanding of the fundamentals of business law in Singapore. It covers major topics discussed in business law courses providing clear examples and simplified cases. The module contains many practical points and common clauses when drafting a contract.
Strategic Management
This module introduces the student to the theory and practice of strategic management, and the holistic way in which it draws upon a wide variety of managerial functions in its creation. It will provide students with an understanding of the key concepts, theories and process integral to the strategic management of organisations.
Industrial Attachment Program
Industrial Attachment is part of students’ educational development. This enables theoretical learning in the classroom to be applied to practical learning situations and encourages application of theory and knowledge in appropriate context. Where students are unable to undertake an Industrial Attachment they will be offered the option of a written Project. Industrial Attachment applies to all full-time STP holders.
To be eligible for Industrial Attachment a student must have passed a minimum of 4 modules.
Students who commence an Industrial Attachment placement cannot subsequently opt to complete the Diploma with a Project. Students who commence an Industrial Attachment and subsequently fail to complete this will be awarded a Certificate in Logistics & Supply Chain Management.
Students who opt to source their own Industrial Attachment and who subsequently fail to secure this will be awarded a Certificate.
For Part-time students or Full-time non-STP holders, to complete the Diploma they must show that they either have a minimum of 6 months relevant working experience or complete the written Project. In certain circumstances non-STP may opt for the Industrial Attachment.
