Course description For those with their heart set on a career in music production, this course is an ideal launch-pad ; In this dynamic course, you'll learn about recording, mixing, sequencing, live sound systems and music for film and gaming. Students are tutored by fully-qualified practising professionals with extensive industry experience, and are encouraged to develop theory, keyboard skills and specialist tuition in their chosen instrument or discipline. 3. Entry requirements You will normally have achieved one of the following:, , A BTEC Extended Diploma in Music Practice, Music Technology, or related Performing Arts. A DDM Profile is preferred, but students achieving close to this will be interviewed., , At least two A level passes, including Music or a related title, Mature candidates are welcome but must have a proven interest in music, Performance students will be auditioned., , The minimum age for entry will normally be 18 years of age. Entry is based on fulfilling one of the above criteria plus an interview and audition (performance). All applications must go through UCAS, 4. Equipment required No equipment required 5. Assessment method The HND is graded by continual assessment. You will be given grades for coursework, performances and participation events. You will be required to keep a coursework file and are also expected to participate in visits to venues, gigs, workshops and student performances.
