Courses A and B

We run two short courses at Advanced Plus level

Course A runs for 11 weeks in the evening in the autumn term.

Course B runs for 11 weeks in the evening in the spring term.

Level of Spanish needed to begin course

Courses A
This course is designed for those who have a knowledge of Spanish approximately equivalent to AS/A2 Level, though no formal qualification is necessary.

Courses B
This course is designed for those who have a knowledge of Spanish approximately equivalent to A Level, though no formal qualification is necessary.

Course Content

Course A
This course is designed to be primarily a conversational course. The precise course content will depend on the interests of the group members, but typically lessons will comprise discussion of current events, aspects of Hispanic culture and topics of particular interest to members of the group. Other activities may include looking at Spanish newspapers and satellite TV, reading and discussion of Spanish literature or films or developing interpreting skills. The course is led by a native speaker and will be conducted wholly or almost wholly in Spanish.

Course B
This course follows on from course A and again the precise content will depend on the wishes and interests of the group members.

Assessment
There is no assessment for course A or B.
