Course programme
A short course to provide candidates the confidence to use Automatic External Defibrillators and to refresh their CPR skills whilst learning all the new protocols.
The most common abnormality in the hearts rhythm is Ventricular Fibrillation (VF). Death will occur in minutes if immediate treatment is not given.
There is only one proven treatment for VF and that is Defibrillation; the delivery of a controlled electric shock to the patient.
The development of Automatic External Defibrillators (AED) has enabled defibrillators to be made available in public places like airports, railways stations and in private homes.
