INTERMEDIATE AFTER EFFECTS

The After Effects Intermediate course builds on the foundations laid in the After Effects Essentials course.

The After Effects Intermediate course builds on the foundations laid in the After Effects Essentials course. The aims of this course are to give you a comprehensive overview of the capabilities of After Effects, to provide you with tips and tricks to enhance your workflow and the confidence to employ the techniques you learn in your every day work.

Applying animation principles
Compositing, mattes + chromakey techniques
Motion tracking
Time based effects
Working with audio
Basic expressions and scripts
Intermediate 3D
Effects and Effects Generators

Participants will be expected to have a good working knowledge of After Effects and be comfortable with all the concepts covered in the After Effects Essentials course. After completing the course participants are given extensive notes detailing the topics covered in this course, as well as listing After Effects resources and reference material.

Giles Thacker is designer of live show graphics for Orbital, the Verve, Turin Brakes, and Royksopp; creator of motion graphics for live events, museum installations, computer games, broadcast and corporate promotions; After Effects tutor at London Metropolitan University, and freelance instructor for Adobe.
