This course focuses on the leaders and stakeholders outside the Agile project team. It outlines and examines the leadership role in dealing with Agile project teams and teams working in an Agile manner in general.We look at the leadership behaviours and traits required to be effective and efficient in an Agile environment. We cover the role, responsibility and accountability of line management and team leaders, both de-facto and nominated. We also cover the key areas of ‘group wisdom’, ‘servant leadership’ and ‘self organising teams’. The course will impart leadership tips and techniques to enable leaders to be more effective and to help them build high performing ‘Agile’ teams.

By the end of the course participants will be able to:This course equips the participant with the skills and tools needed to become an effective leader of Agile teams, understanding the way leadership evolves to empower and support the formation of high-performance, collaborative teams

Anyone in a leadership position wishing to lead in an Agile way or who is required to interact with an Agile project team.This course is NOT meant for program managers, project managers or iteration managers.

Participants should have a basic understanding of Agile principles and practices prior to attending this course.
