What you need to know
How will I study?

If you are a full time student aged 16-18 you will follow a study programme which will consist of your main course, enterprise and enrichment activities, English and maths, as well as work experience. Modules include: tractor operations; repair and maintenance of structures in the countryside; movement, handling and accommodation of animals; care of animals; maintaining the health and well-being of animals and developing performance in land-based industries.
How will I be taught?

The course is about 80% practical and 20% theory. All lessons are held at the college farm taking advantage of all of the teaching facilities.
How will I be assessed?

You will build up a portfolio of evidence over the year to help you to complete all of the practical assessments.
