MSc Analytical Chemistry

Full-Time Programme

Developed in consultation with major industrial and public concerns, it provides both practical laboratory skills and essential professional training, as well as a number of specialisms.

This modular MSc Analytical Chemistry programme leads to degrees in:

Content

The MSc is structured around a series of three taught modules covering the core skills required by analytical chemists, a specialist skills module, and a laboratory-based research project.

Students have an opportunity to specialise through options in the specialist module and by the choice of project topic.

Study Resources

Chemistry is taught in the School of Biological and Chemical Sciences, which offers state-of-the-art instrumental and computing facilities, and the possibility of collaborating with industry. The School also provides a seminar programme and skills training across disciplines.

Professional Accreditation

The MSc Analytical Chemistry is accredited by the Royal Society of Chemistry and students who are awarded the degree may qualify for an exemption from Part A of the MChemA examination.
