This course is designed to allow you to study and work at the same time. It is aimed at anyone who wants to develop their business and management skills in a vocational context. It will give you the skills needed for a successful career in business and/or management. Whether you are employed and want to develop your business and management skills as well as gain a HE qualification; or whether you are progressing from a full time level 3 programme and want to gain a vocationally relevant HE qualification this programme is for you.
You will study 8 core modules in year 1 (Accounting for Business, Marketing, Personal Skills Development for Business, Managing People, Operations Management , Consumer Behaviour, Economics for Business, Quantitative Methods), and a further 8 in year 2 (Strategic Analysis, Project Management Skills, Human Resource Management, Organisational Behaviour, Change Management Project, Professional Portfolio in Management, Business and Employment Law). Successful completion of all modules in Years 1 and 2 will enable students to achieve a Foundation Degree (The FdA in Applied Business Management). Completion of the FdA will allow progression onto the BSc Applied Business Management in Year 3 where you will study a further 9 modules (Final Year Project, Corporate Governance and Ethics, Social Media Marketing, Leadership, Innovation Management, Service Marketing , International Human Resource Management).

About this course
Offers will usually be made to students with predicted grades of:
3 A Level grade B or above. We do not require A-level in Business, Economics, Maths or Accounting/Finance. We do not however consider General Studies as an A-level subject for offer purposes.
We will make offers to students with predicted (or achieved) IB of 32-33 or higher.
BTEC (18 units) grades of DDM or equivalent.
In addition to this all applicants must have GCSE English Language and GCSE Maths or Numeracy at grade C or above.
