About the programme
The Apprentice: the training seriesis a three-part series of programmes based on BBC'sThe Apprentice, which offers an entertaining way to develop skills in sales, negotiation, teamwork, team leadership and project management that individuals remember forever. Each programme focuses on the decisions the apprentices made and the consequences of their actions. The examples of their different approaches to problems clearly show how things should - and shouldn't - be done.
Case studies on teamwork and team leadershipdemonstrates the keys for success in both, by examining the apprentices' real-life business examples.
Teamwork.Pitching and presenting an ad campaign shows how successful teams are both effective (doing the right job) and efficient (doing the job right). A common purpose, a clear objective and a clear sense of direction, are needed if the enterprise is to succeed. The five key qualities of an efficient team are examined.
Team leadership.Organising an event on Tower Bridge, this programme sees Michelle becoming The Apprentice. She uses her experiences in this and earlier tasks to focus on the key skills of successful team leadership, such as: giving direction; balancing the needs of the task, the team and the individuals; taking responisibility; and taking risks.
The key outcomes
