The Level 2 & 3 Apprenticeships will enable you to develop skills in specific chosen areas of manufacturing to suit your and your employer needs. This could be in Garment Construction, Sewing, Sample Technology and Pattern & Grading Technology. The skills you will learn are essential for a successful career in the Fashion & Textiles Industry including aspects of Design, Quality and Professional Practice.

Course programme
The skills you will learn on the course are essential for a successful career in the Fashion & Textiles Industry. Whether you want to be a Designer, Sample Machinist or become self-employed and create your own line of clothing. You will be employed by a manufacturer on a full time basis for a minimum of 30 hours a week. This will entail 4 days in the workplace and attending the Fashion Academy for 1 day a week
You will learn all about the Fashion & Textile Industry, including the history, technical areas, sewing processes and also how to investigate the market in aspects of design, colour forecasting and manufacturing techniques.
We have a dedicated studio that is fully equipped with the latest industrial sewing machinery, press beds and pattern cutting tables. You will also have access to all other college facilities.
Intermediate - Level 2 Certificate in Apparel
Intermediate - Level 2 Certificate in Manufacturing Sewn Products
Level 1 Functional Skills in Literacy and Numeracy (Unless previously accredited)
Advanced - Level 3 Certificate in Apparel Manufacturing Technology
Advanced - Level 3 Diploma in Apparel Production
